Hi, hello, and welcome!
I’ve always been called to teach, whether its high school science, data science and machine learning, or medieval history, there’s nothing I love more than digging deep into a topic and then sharing it with the world.
My educational philosophy centers on experiential and constructivist methods, with a firm belief that every individual is capable of learning. To that end I employ a variety of methods to engage learners, ranging from illustrations and animations to hands-on activities and even talks and lectures. I’m currently obsessed with the Viking Age (793–1066) and using storytelling to explore the intersections of geography, technology, culture, religion, and politics to better understand this time and place. Much of what you’ll see on this site reflects this passion.
